Canterbury
Our self-contained Canterbury campus provides a welcoming environment and a close-knit student community. Campus life revolves around six colleges, the Templeman Library, the Gulbenkian arts centre and the Mandela Building (home of Kent Union) – all set among green and tranquil open spaces.

Undergraduate Accommodation

We don’t need to tell you that your university experience will be one of the most exciting times of your life. It’ll be full of firsts and new experiences, and we’re here to ensure you can make the most of your time on campus and enjoy every minute you spend living in our accommodation.
Becket Court
Becket Court accommodation is adjacent to Eliot College and conveniently located near the center of campus. In addition to other great benefits, these rooms come include the Flex Meal Plan.
Darwin College
Darwin College is a delightful self-catered accommodation situated just a little way outside the busy central hub of the Canterbury campus. This tranquil location is perfect for those who prefer a peaceful environment for their studies.
Eliot College
In Eliot College, each corridor houses seven students in standard and large rooms, with two showers, one toilet, and a small kitchenette shared among them.
Keynes Flats
All Keynes College Flats are en-suite with a spacious, modern kitchen, shared between flatmates, which is great for cooking and socialising.Â
Keynes Houses
The Keynes Houses offer a modern and spacious kitchen that is shared among nine people, providing a great opportunity for cooking and socializing. Additionally, students share a bathroom with only one other person.
Keynes College
If you’re looking for convenience, Keynes College is a great option. All rooms have en-suite facilities and include the Flex Meal Plan.
Park Wood Flats
This self-catered accommodation is located in the Park Wood student village, surrounded by beautiful parkland.
Park Wood Houses
You can choose to live in a 5 or 6-bedroom house, which allows you to get to know your housemates well. Additionally, the accommodation is self-catered, making it perfect for those who enjoy cooking.
Rutherford College
At Rutherford College, students usually reside in shared corridors that accommodate up to seven students. The college provides standard and large rooms to meet the varying needs of students. If you are looking for accommodation that includes some meals, then this is the perfect place for you.
Turing Flats
Turing Flats offer modern and spacious en-suite accommodation with stunning views of Canterbury and surrounding areas. Students can enjoy their own catering outlet and social space, Hut 8.
Turing Houses
Turing Houses are modern and spacious accommodations that come with your very own catering outlet and social space called Hut 8.
Tyler Court A
Tyler Court A is a student accommodation located on central campus. It has a study area on the ground floor and is conveniently close to the library and other campus facilities. The accommodation comes with an en-suite bathroom and a modern shared kitchen.
Tyler Court B/C
Tyler Court B/C provides spacious en-suite accommodations. Located in the heart of the central campus, you will be in close proximity to the main campus buildings and the central hub of the library.
Woolf College
Woolf College offers a comfortable and convenient accommodation option with all rooms being en-suite and self-catered. Home to its own common room, which provides you with a welcoming and relaxed space to socialize and connect with other residents.
Pier Quays – Medway
Located just a short walk from the Medway campus, Pier Quays offers lots of opportunities to meet new people and socialise with your friends.

Kent Students’ Union
We are the Students’ Union for University of Kent students, which means we are here to support you on your journey – from the moment you choose Kent, to graduation and beyond. Welcome Week
At our Welcome Week you’ll find numerous events and activities to take part in and meet like minded people, including Kent Students’ Union Big Fair, with hundreds of clubs and societies to choose from.

Student Support and Careers
We have expert staff available to support all students at the University of Kent. We can help with mental health, disability, autism and specific learning differences and accessibility. We have reception teams on the Canterbury and Medway campuses. The Careers and Employability service is available to all University of Kent Students. We are an impartial service focused on giving you the tools to improve your employability. Nexus is one place for all your student questions, Nexus staff can help you with any queries, directing you to the right place.
Sports
Sports Centre
The Sports Centre is close to the heart of the Canterbury campus and is where the gym, sports halls, and the fitness and dance studio are located.
The Pavilion
The Pavilion is where you’ll find all the outdoor sports facilities including three artificial pitches as well as grass pitches. If you like tennis, this is where our indoor tennis courts are located.
Arts, Music and Culture
Gulbenkian and Colyer-Fergusson
Gulbenkian is the University of Kent’s Arts Centre offering innovative, engaging and high quality arts activity for students, staff and the public with a cinema, theatre and cafe. The award-winning Colyer-Fergusson Music Hall, a purpose-built flexible performance space, is in the same building.

Canterbury Local Area
Canterbury has a warm and friendly atmosphere. Explore medieval buildings, lively bars, atmospheric pubs and a wide range of shops just a 25-minute walk from campus.
Enjoy the beach at sunny Whitstable, just 15 minutes by bus, with boutique shops and a range of bars and restaurants.
London is an hour away by high-speed train and we’re also the closest UK city to mainland Europe, so you can be in Paris, Brussels or Lille within two hours.
